Rubbolite was originally a trade name for Flexible Lamps Ltd who began in 1924 as the original patentee of rubber vehicles lights and has been a leading producer for the past 80 years. Early customers of our products included W. O. Bentley and HRH Prince George.  Today our business is mainly commercial vehicles, trailers, agricultural and construction.

Rubbolite products described in our product range are designed and manufactured primarily for the commercial vehicle users, where the need is for strong and robust equipment for heavy duty usage.  The majority of our lamps are manufactured with rubber housings, to provide anti-corrosion and impact resistant qualities and in addition, to cushion vibration shock to the bulb to give longer filament life.  They are made to exacting standards and utilise high quality, durable components.  As either 12v or 24v. bulbs may be required, they are not fitted as standard, but can be supplied upon request, when otherwise indicated - please refer to us for the latest information if accurate dimensions are needed.

Rubbolite products are used as original equipment by many international manufacturers of trucks, trailers, buses, coaches, as well as agricultural, construction and utility vehicles.  Our vast product range consists of internal and external mounted lamps, including front direction indicators, front and rear marker lamps, side marker lamps, interior lights, and multi-functional rear lamps, plus rotating and xenon beacons, reflex reflectors, junction boxes and tractor/trailer connection systems.

Throughout eighty progressive years in business, our basic principles have remained the same - to provide products of the highest quality, backed by an excellent service and offered at competitive prices.

 

In November 2006, Flexible Lamps Ltd was acquired by Truck-Lite Co. Inc. Becoming the European Headquarters of Truck-Lite while still manufacturing the Rubbolite.
